Harald Becker new managing director of DMAN

Harald Becker has been appointed as managing director of Deutsche Management Akademie Niedersachsen (DMAN) as of January 2017.

Since he joined DMAN in November 2013, Harald Becker was responsible for the academy’s operational business in Eastern Europe, Asia and the Gulf States. As a member of the DMAN management team, he also assumed organizational and representative tasks.

Harald Becker, who holds a university degree in public administration, started his professional career in the administration of Niedersachsen. In 1998, he left his administrative career to work for ERP vendor Baan, where he was responsible for the implementation of complex software projects. Later on, he managed the services business of Infor Global Solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

“During these past three years, Harald Becker contributed substantially to the continuous enhancement of our business activities in international target markets. Together with his long-standing project management experience, his successful work for the academy provides a solid foundation for his enhanced responsibilities as managing director,” said Dr. Andreas Gruchow, chairman of the DMAN supervisory board. “I look forward to working with Harald Becker and wish him every success in his new role.”

As managing director of DMAN, Harald Becker succeeds Ralf Othmer, who died in November 2016. He had been running the academy since 2005.
